Jan John's research focuses on nuclear waste treatment and separation methods, radioanalytical methods, nuclear
spectroscopy, and determination and speciation of radionuclides in the environment. Dr. John has
over 20 years experience in these fields.|
Current projects include separation of radionuclides from liquid, organic complexants-bearing wastes; cesium separation from acidic high level radioactive wastes of the U.S. DOE type; development of combined methods for liquid radioactive waste treatment; and remediation of soils contaminated by radionuclides. Dr. John is an Assistant Professor of Nuclear Chemistry at the Czech Technical University in Prague. He also serves as a chairman of the Nuclear Chemistry section of the Czech Chemical Society.
